The time frame may vary based on corporate documents availability as well as the formation type of a company, I.e branch office or a Limited Liability company (LLC), individual or corporate owned. Once everything has been properly set out and we have immediate access to documentation, it can take about one to two weeks.

Yes – Office Tenancy contract is still required to complete the licensing process. The Tenancy contract must be registered in Dubai Land Department to obtain the Ejari certificate or Tawtheeq if the location is in Abu Dhabi. The office space is mandatory especially if the company is planning to hire employees in the UAE.

Requirement of a local Emirati partner to establish company in the UAE will be dependent on the following factors: Business activities in the mainland sector; however there has been recent changes where most companies in the mainland can obtain license without a local agent or partner. Generally in the free zone locations across the UAE do not require a local Emirati partner

The Trade license fee may vary based on the business activities of the company. In general, it could range between AED 12,000 to 15,000. Other external factors to consider are additional approvals from different authorities I.e. Dubai municipality (Engineering firms, etc), Dubai Health Authorities ( for Healthcare facilities).

In the free zones, company can start hiring new employees as soon as the license and establishment card ( immigration card) have been issued. In the mainland, license has to be registered in immigration and MOHRE ( Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization; and apply for the visa quota so the company start hiring individuals.

If the company is located in the free zone, an employment visa is available with options of selecting one year or three years validity If the company is in the mainland, employment visa is by default valid for 2 years

In free zone, there’s an option of expedited process where the entire visa process can take about 7-10 working days.For normal applications, it usually run between 10-15 working In the mainland, certain portions of the applications can be expedited. In general, it takes about 12-15 working days Please also note that all applications are subject to immigration security check.

No – there is no permanent residency in the UAE up to now. The other options for longer visa validity are self-sponsorship 10 years Golden visa (certain qualifications are to be observed), and 5 years Green visa ( also subject to certain requirements)

Yes you can. However, you will have to observe if the candidate is holding an employment visa from another employer which he needs to cancel or transfer dependent on his current sponsorship location. If the candidate is on Tourist visa, his visa can be applied as an in-country process, and switch his status from Tourist visa into employment visa without exiting the country.

In general, visa fees can costs around AED 5,000 to AED 6,000 which of course can be subject to options to be selected, express or normal

The employee can legally start working for company once the visa process is complete or stamped into passport. Emirates ID card is usually issued after 4-5 working days of receiving an employment visa.

Yes. Once the visa is stamped into passport, the employee becomes a resident of the UAE. He must ensure that he does not stay out of the UAE for more than 180 days to keep his visa active.
